Ok to try and make a long story I had some work on my car and do the some basic maintance, and they went ahead and put new oil gears in the old case without checking specs, or anything like that. (Person is related to me and work was free but whatever) So when we go to start the car the jb weld he did on the lower balance shaft didnt hold so the front case needs to be removed. Now... Should I take it all apart then try again with the jb or should I look into getting a new froncase/oil pump with the welded shut holes? Now also taking into consideration that i have these new oil gears in my car, I'm looking for some direction here bc the one i usually trust is him but now since he got me here im opening it up to the board here. Please all suggestions wanted.

If he used the plug that came with the kit and pressed it in with jb weld it should of held but if he just jb welded the hole then just take the front case off and put the plug in for the upper balance shaft. and make sure he put a shorter bolt in where the balance shaft belt idler pully used to be if you dont major oil leak.

i dont see why your oil pump gears would need replacing, the outter oil pump sprocket is running off the timing belt so its not like it would ever wear out and the inner sprocket is always encased in oil so its not like that would wear out either, so unless the engine was driven with no oil or something i dont even know why you would need new sprockets
