1G Oil feed line, ok to use studs?

The oil return (turbo to oil pan) i cant get turbo to line up with the bolt holes, without them crossthreading.. is it ok to use studs then line it up and use a nut to tighten ? or do i need to use bolts?

I've used bolts threaded from the backside with thread sealer and then a nut to hold the flange on, never had an issue. I don't see why studs wouldn't work.
