just got a 14B for my 2g, my question is...why wont the stock oil feed line work on the 14B? is it too long /short? cant i retain the flexible section and just use adapter fittings and replace the hard aluminum section?

not sure why it won't work exactly since I have never really seen a stock turbo 2g under the hood however I know it needs to be upgraded. I have the 16g steel braided line which I don't need anymore. I have the piece from the oil filter housing to the turbo. Let me know if you are interested .. I will sell it for cheap.

cant i just cut the hard tubing and replace with rubber fuel line hose? is the fitting on the turbo side interchangeable with both turbos at least?

are you referring to the return line in this post or the feed line? The feed line has no flex section.

OK my bad, i just looked at my oil feed line and just realized there is no flex section... but can i just cut the hard pipe and extend it with rubber high pressure hose?

you could..but i would just get a stainless oil feed line for like 25 bucks.

The stock oil feed for the t25 uses a smaller fitting to fit into the turbo cartridge. The 14b uses a much lager orfice for the line to attach so you would need some type of adaptor other then that it would bolt on.

Here is how I did mine
Used stock t25 water lines used the front on the rear rear on the front

Stock 14b oil feed line connected the one end to the turbo and then bent the line to where I wanted it then cut the loop off the other end and got a piece of high pressure hose that fit snugly over the line then to a 1/8 NPT pipe fitting in the head.

Here is an ok pic of how mine is done

DO NOT USE FUEL LINE, learn from my experences i blew out a few before relizing what i really needed was hydrolic line, you can get it at carquest and probobly advanced. the fuel hose deteriorates from the oil so fix it once instead of twice like me.

Get a new Stock steel 1G Turbo Oil Supply Line & 4 new Crush Washers - There's an orifice in the Stock Line at the Banjo Connector - Hose will not hold up in that location & when it fails...

Bye - Bye Turbo. OMG

i have a better idea...block off the hole on the head, and run it from the oil filter housing instead with braided stainless line.

1) I disagree - 14B doesn't need all that Oil, see the small Orifice in the Stock Line.

2) That long run from OFH across Engine Bay heats the hell out of Oil that would be better put to use pumped to Motor.

3) hellotbone "a few months" of hose survival doesn't impress me at all - You have to take into account the amount of damage caused from it's imminent catastrophic failure - The hard steel Oil Supply Line is not expensive - These things have enuff Time Bombs on them without adding more!

That is braided steel core rubber hose its been on there about 6 months winter driving etc its coming off today anyways so I don't see the problem.

i did this exact same thing mostly because im an idiot and i had an install kit and ####ed up the feed line because i didnt know about feed location on the head anyways that shit was no good it kept leaking not the type of setup you want to trust. that setup can blow off at any time. i ran it like that for about a month with burning oil everywhere then i went to a local shop and had ss braided line fabbed for me only cost me $40 and it was a perfect fit for me that was cheaper than buying 1 online waiting a week for it and paying shipping id say i saved about $10 - $15 and got it within ten minutes but the $25 ss line mentioned above isnt recommended thats the cheap shit from pep boys that you put togeather yourself you want good quality for your turbo oil trust me
2 1/2 feet of -3 line Make sure you get dash -3 too big or to small will kill your turbo
1 90 degree angle
filter housing side ask for 1/8 fitting
and the banjo bolt i beleive is a 13mm but dont quote me on that i cant remember i was faded when i went down there
so basically all that is the information that i needed to give the guy that made it for me
oh and if you need to know i have a TD05 evo III 16g ported
