I need some help in figuring out a solution for my current problem regarding my oil feed line. I am currently installing my t3 sc6152 and the feed line that was sold to me for this turbo is getting oil from the oil filter housing. I have everything hooked up except the oil feed fitting that bolts on to the oil filter housing as outlined here.

The problem I have is getting the cap out of the fitting on the oil filter housing. You must take the cap off and then put the new fitting for the new feed line. The damn thing will not come out. I tried yesterday and soaked in liquid wrench over night and then tried again today, still nothing, the more I try the more movement the allen key has. Which will eventually lead to the stripping of the cap.

Now I also noticed that their is a fitting right under the one that I should be taking off. And then there is another fitting on the bottom of the oil filter housing as well. My question is do any of the other 2 fittings have the same oil pressure as the just filtered fitting that I am supposed to be using? I would not mind using the other fittings on the oil filter housing to get the job done, I just want to make sure that they will carry the same amount of oil pressure as the one that does not come out. I understand that they might not be filtered oil, but the top of the head is not filtered either and that works fine for many people.

Thanks for the help, and sorry for the essay:)

Just tried taking the other caps off on the oil filter housing but they would not come off. Is there any way I can run the feed line from the head on this turbo? Either that or I have to take the oil filter housing off and replace it or something...
thanks for the help

No, the head does not supply enough oil pressure.
Take the whole filter housing apart, and give it a little bit of head with a torch. Heat the aluminum up good and and then cool it with ice water. Repeat this a second time, only spray it with some PB blaster, and it should come out pretty easily.
Also, get a GOOD allen key that fits nice and tight. I had to borrow a matco or snappy from a friend, the sears jobber diddn't cut it.

I just teed off one of the sensors on the housing. I am not sure it is the right way but it works for me. I had my housing off and could not get any of those dame things out too.

Is there a reason why I should not do it that way? I am not sure if I can take those things off even with the housing off the car. Selmerguy, which one did you tee it to, can you show describe which one it is with the above link? And what you used to tee it?
thanks for the help

I could not get the cap off were the oil line would normally go to feed the turbo clean oil. But I did get off the cap that is located right on the other side of the oil pressure sensor. It is not a clean source of oil, but the only one I could get off that had on the oil filter housing. That opening has the same oil pressure as the normal oil feed line opening on the oil filter housing, right?
thanks for the help

So it is safe to say that any fitting off the oil filter housing has the high enough oil pressure?
later
