The oil cooler line that runs from my thermostat housing to my oil filter housing is broken. My question is, does the exhaust manifold need to be removed in order to replace the line or can I do it from underneath?

I think I have one of these from my car at home in a box. I removed it because I'm using an external oil cooler now. It has two tabs on it I think, and maybe with a picture of it you can guess whether or not you can get to it without removing the turbo. I'll post it later if someone hasn't answered your question before then.

I think... this is the line you're talking about, right? I can't remember the orientation of how it's installed :)

If so, and I've guessed the orientation... those bolts look like they should be accessible with the turbo on. Either way since the only two bolt tabs are near the ends you should be able to check quickly for yourself.

I already have it, but its pretty tight in that area to the point where I'm not sure if its possible or not. Due to my schedule, I don't have time to do it for a couple more days, so I was just looking if I could get some feedback/tips in the meantime. Thanks though :thumb:

It would probably be easier to unbolt the exhaust manifold to replace it. You will save yourself time in the long run.
