I got a 93 talon 1.8 sohc .... How do I change the oil,and what do I need?

You should search before you asked this. The mods might bump this thread.

Here goes any way:
You will need: Manual, 5 qts. of oil, oil filter, wrench or ratchett and socket, some rags, oil pan, and that should be it. Hope that you get it done with no trouble. Welcome to DSMtuners.

You change it by un bolting the plug in the bottom of the oil pan, drain all the oil, put the plug back in, take off the filter, put on the new filter(don't forget to put a light coat of oil on the new filter gasket), pour oil into your car (I think that it is 4.5 qts), put oil cap back on, start car and check for leaks. Make sure while you are working on it that it is supported by jack stands or supported properly. The manual tells you ALL this. You could always go and have it changed at the local oil shop. Also do NOT over tighten the oil filter, just make it hand tight. You could damage the oil filter housing internals. Hope this helps.
