Ok guys this weekend I am installing my new turbo and changing all the fluids. I have done a search and I am pretty sure I found some answers but not all of them. I have a 99 GSX and I found the tranny hold 2.4 quarts of gear oil. What does the transfer case and rear end hold? Also the coolant holds around 2 gallons correct?

The transfer case takes about .5qts and the rear end takes about .9 qts. I used redline heavy shockproof in the transfer case and rear end. There are several combos of fluid you can use in the tranny but much lighter gear oil than the rear end and tc.

I was going to use royal purple max gear 75w90 in the tranny would that be ok to run in the transfer case and rear end? that is about all my local auto store carries.

Transfer is common gear oil.
Rear the same unless you have a clutch lsd. If so, lsd oil for the rear.
Cheers !

Really try to get ahold of some Redline Heavy Shockproof (The red bottle) almost all high performance and transmissions rebuilders recommend it since it protects A LOT better.

so I would be fine running that royal purple 75w90 all around... As for redline I dont really care enough to track it down my tranny has been fine for 100k without it and around my parts its a pain in the butt to track stuff like that down...
