oil burning question

my car has 120k miles on it, and its been burning oil since 95k miles

the car started smoking a lot more when i took of the 17c turbo and put on my 50 trim. it smokes quite a bit more after you drive it hard, and some days it might not burn much oil at all.


my question is, what is causing this? bad valve stem seals? cracked rings?

the vacuum at idle is anywhere from 16-17, or even close to 20, so i was thinking if my problem was real bad( aka cracked rings), the idle vac would be shitty


anyone got ideas?

Most likely it's valves. Only way to be sure is to do a wet test/leakdown test.

How does it smoke from the valves?

oil leaks down past the valve seals. also it still sounds like a turbo seal problem.
