I've been runnin 8-9psi with my set up for about 2 years now.I drive the car daily, and she really runs well. But I recently noticed oil blowing out the breather filter on my valve cover. Is this typical for a boosted 420A?I dont burn any oil and I dont usually have to add any untill I change my oil.

To test if everything is working You could hook up your boost gauge to a valve cover port and read if your getting any vac at idle and then go for a drive and see where the pressure in the valve cover goes when in boost. If you read psi in the valve cover then something is wrong, you would want to see vac in the valve cover under all conditions.

Even a OEM pcv is crap.. What you should do , is run the OEM pcv, and then Run an addtional Check valve with a catch can. The SRT guys do this as well. The key is the check valve isnt the typical 1 psi Check valve.. This things crcaking pressure is less them .25 PSI.. Check out Boomba racing.. they have the low cracking valveS. you need the 3/8" one. Really, you shouldnt have a breather.. tat should be routed to the turbo intake.. Then the OEM pcv should be hooked to the actch can, and then the oppisite side of the can needs to have the boomba check valve and then they goes to say the TB port. Step 1 for you is get rid of the breather..

Yup, go cheap.. Rolls eyes.. Like i said. Its about cracking pressure.. Im sure the cheap one doesnt even have a rating?? Anyway... Loose the breather and that will at least fix your "breather" issue. As for PCV, you will see there many "opinions". Do what you wish. I know from the ones ive built what works. OEM PCV valves or anyhting like them are hit and miss. The Boomba valve (with a catch can) has been the only thing ive found that is consistant. My IM was devoid of any oil after 6k miles, vs A nice film of oil within 100 miles using the OEM and catch can. IMO, do some reading and pick something, if it works, great, if not try something else.

''Glowryder'' is right. The basic replacement check valves dont stand up to boost pressure too well. Ive tried a hand full of different pcv check valves from all the local auto parts stores and they all leak under pressure. My route was to just cancel out the pcv valve completely. My setup is just Both valve cover ports go to an oil catch can then one line out the catch can going to the turbo inlet. And thats what works on mine.

The cracking pressure is 1/2 psi and is a highly recommend and used valve on the forum. Look it up.

Or just get one from us plastic for about $1.50.

Oops... File Can't Be Found

Get the Kynar valve.
"Polypropylene and Kynar® housing with Viton® diaphragm. Will work with vacuum between 2 and 29 in. Hg. and pressures from 1 psi up to 150psi. .5 lb. cracking pressure on all sizes and materials."

These defiantly work well. Ive used them on a few cars and best of all they are cheap.

well i went out and bought a new PCV valve and hooked it up.I noticed that my little breather is still dripping oil.I took of the breather and stuck my finger over the tube and I have great vac.If i hook up both tubes to my catch can, should it fix the oily motor?Right now, the tube on the side by the oil fill cap goes to my catch can, then from the can to PCV valve, then to IM.the tube on driverside of VC has the breather. Here's a rough picture. If I take the breather off, where is the best place to tie in at, between CC and tube on the oil cap side? OH Yah,I,m only running 9-10 psi.Car runs perfect,no cels.Is it safe to eliminate the valve completely?
