Oh that new paint smell!

This week, in addition to picking up the engine... also picked up the bumpers and sideskirts that were resprayed blue. I was thrilled with the results! Of course, I'm sure they will make the rest of the car look bad now.

I was quite "impressed" with just how many bolts attach the rear fascia on. haha! Honestly, it seemed a bit overkill. Had a few of them break off, too. I think four. So will have to do some drilling this weekend. Other than that, it was pretty straightforward.

Also got the Mustang out for the first real time this spring. Put it to good use.

Here are some pictures; combination of cell phone pics and ones taken with an actual camera. One pic shows the old skirt/repaint/and body color. I really enjoy when people fill in the letters by hand. ...

PS: I really hate the color blue.

1995; last year for the old 5.0L. Has 95k miles on it, and 100% stock.. Kinda wish it has the new 5.0L in it... even if that means loosing the good 'ol reliable pushrod motor.

The Mustang cracks me up because of the misconceptions. Everyone *thinks* its fast; and it makes me laugh. They give me confused looks when I tell them the Talon was (and will now definately) be a whole lot faster. But I'll tell you what... they make great cruiser cars.

those rims don't say 5.0 to me they wimpy 3.8 but the exhaust arguably says 5.0

.. oh man.. I hate those wheels. Honestly those have GOT to be the ugliest OEM Ford wheels ever. The funny thing about them is that those were the "optional" big wheel package. haha!! Eventually it'll get soem different wheels.

Thank you for the comments! I hope that with a good detailing job after it's all back together that it'll look decent. Poor thing has been off the road for close to a year now.

"Kona BLue Pearl" is the name of the color. It's a factory color; very close to the "intense blue pearl" on the chrysler side.

Well, the engine is completely apart right now. Working on getting that back together. If you were referring to the Mustang, it's ok.. had it out the other day. The Talon is the car that's been down for almost a year... and I'll tell you what.. MISS it a bunch!!
