i saw him run 11.1 at the track @ 129 on bf drag radials and i did 11.1 as well but on some random street tires and 26lbs of boost and his was at 29lbs when he ran...he wants to do it from dig to 150mph...and he only has a twin disc clutch i have a shep stage 2 tranny and evo 8 transfer case but i never launched it launched it from 5750 rpms i done it a few launches from 2500-3000 rpms but the thing with mine even with the tires i have now Hoosier R6's i still break traction 1st 2nd and 3rd gear the thing is all over the place when its over 30lbs...and i don't feel like taking of my FP and slapping on the 40r then it just wouldn't be fair cause then i have 880 awhp and his parents are loaded they just got him a Evo X and i think he's thinking he has a chance since I'm not running the 40R turbo...

and i would run him for money but wants to run either 15k or slips ...and he's not just blowing smoke either he has money and I've never seen him break his word so i know he would hand over the evo

I would never race for pink slips. EVER.
My friend with a POS honda civic wanted to race for slips and i said no.
He thinks i am scared of loosing.

I've got my X for 5g grand with a blown head gasket and i ended up getting a personal loan for 10 grand and rebuilding the whole thing pretty much and adding the shep tranny and evo transfer case

both of you have money to blow.

i wish man I'm still paying the personal loan i took out to get the X to where its at so i figure i would just sell the evo and have some money left over ...i don't make shit man i barely squeeze out 45k a year

If you dont' care about losing your car then give it a shot. I personally would not do it for reasons listed above, I work way to hard on my car. Would be sweet to win though haha..

Really depends on chance, anything can happen really. Even the best of cars can have the weirdest things happen and not emerge victorious. If you're emotionally ready to loose your car (if it happens that way) then go for it. If you can't see yourself letting it go, don't. Considering you're paying off a loan though, can't say it would be the smartest of choices, but that's my personal opinion.

I agree with this^^^^ that sound really suspicious if it was his idea. In addition regardless if he has money or not there is nothing to say he will actually give up the car. In your case I personally wouldn't agree to this for two reasons 1) if hes willing to bet a car/ 15k he must be really confident and know something you dont know 2) YOU HAVE A LOAN out on the car it would be very bad for you to lose and walk away with nothing but a big headache.

However IF you must race then I would have both of you and some friends who can play witness go down to a notary and have a signed contract listing agreements and such. Also have witnesses for track day as well. Not sure on actual binding agreements in courts but I'd take that piece of paper over somebody's word any-day.

Besides theres been multiple times where I've raced cars slower than me and lost because my car acted a fool() and gave me phantom knock out of nowhere coming out the whole..

sounds like a bunch of keyboard racing. Rule of thumb, I never race a stick car for money . Too much can go wrong.

I ran a civic with one seat, skinnies in the back, full 24.5 slick, cage, 5 gallon cell off a trailer on race gas. I was on pump gas, and took a gamble being on street tires. Made a test pass and it worked. Went to run him, put 2 cars on him, trans locked me out of 3rd, after getting it in realizing it was 5th, pulling back out and going into 3rd he put a car on me and didnt go by him till after we had people sitting. Its hard to get a gt42 moving after all that bs. That is one of the main reasons I went auto besides wasting money on fixing broken 5 spds

What the hell? 45K and you're complaining? I make roughly 20K a year before taxes the last time i did my calculations and i still make a living. If I made 45K a year I'd have my car fixed already.

Back on topic though. If you are going to race for any sort of gamble race $50 or so don't be a F&F idiot and go for pinks, that's just teenage immaturity
