I have been searching EVERYWHERE for the factory mounting brackets for my 1999 Eclipse GSX and cannot find them anywhere! I've checked every single junkyard in the city and surrounding towns, online, etc. I'm told all 97-99 will work and possibly 95-99. Not entirely sure what is different on the interior of 2G-A.
The previous owner had an aftermarket deck with the plastic brackets but those broke anyway and I have a nice double din deck I'd like to install. I've read and have been told I need the factory ones if I want either a double din or single with a pocket. I've tried all the plastic ones from the store and do not work.
The dealer has them for 70+ a piece! Cheapest I found were $50/pc on mitsubishiparts.net. I'd rather not spend $100 for just some brackets. Anyone know any place online or maybe a junkyard near you that has them? I'd reimburse and pay shipping if someone finds them cheap. Most cars they are $12-$15 for both. Maybe $20. I'm sure if someone finds them at a junkyard they'd be pretty cheap.
