Bud: That was after the Brasso, looked the same before.

I rather just drop $90 on a set of Chinese lights again, I was planning on buying a new OEM set...but $300 is like 3 Chinese sets.

That was after the brasso..Damm I would have expected a little better than they were...I'm getting offline rihgt now..But I think I have some before and after photos of stuff I did with brasso..

When I get back on I will go through my pics and post back the results..

Those headlights don't look too terrible to me. I mean sure, they're not great but I'd say they're on par with your orange peel paint beneath them <--- then again, that still has it's clear intact.

For a couple weeks of shine try Rain-x, the liquid not the spray. I use it every car wash and my lights usually look pretty crystal.

And I took a dremel to these lenses in an attempt to make sanding them down easier..Let's just say don't do that. Ever. Who'da thunk you could actually burn and melt the plastic!

I know, I know, everyone has a super secret method that works every time but this really does do a fine job on my 150k mile, old beat up, scratched, melted, burned and sanded-hastily headlight lenses.

I also have some of the famous "eagle eyes" sitting on a shelf for when I really do want PERFECT lenses. But as mentioned, the clear on those will shred and get nasty in a year's time so I'm waiting to find the best product to protect them - like AZdave does. I just can't trust myself to cut it/apply his choice of product in any sort of proficient manner. I'm lookin' out for pre-cut.

Looked through my pics last night..And when my computer crashed last time I must have forgot to backup all my pictures..So I don't have any before and after of the different lenses I have done..Sorry man..

Well, if you want a set that will last another 15 years, go purchase a set of OEM headlights like I stated before for $330+ shipping. They retail for substantially higher than that.

I did headlight restorations at a dealership its really easy if you have a buffer.
800 grit wet sand
1500 grit wet sand
2200 rpm compound
1600 rpm polish

Just sand until the headlight is an even haze. When you think you've sanded enough, keep sanding.

Eric, like I told u b4 just get the 3M headlight restoration kit and they'll look better . Or atleast wet sand them down and go to a body shop and get them cleared then buffed.

^^This is the only way to go. You can even do it by hand without a buffer.

I've tried all of the other ways posted, and the best overall way to do it is by sanding it all down and re-polishing. Then put on a decent wax to protect it. There is a nice write-up on here somewhere, I believe the guy did it on a Supra.
