Tonight I noticed the latest odd noise from my Talon. It began randomly after proceeding from a red light. I heard the noise and at first didn't think it was coming from the car, but it was. After little bit more driving I isolated it to 3rd gear. It only makes the noise while under load. The transmission shifts into and out of third gear with no problems (no resistance, no noise, ect) at all, but while in gear it makes a weird noise. I'd call it more of a rattle than a grind, but I'm no transmission sound expert. The transmission was rebuilt 6 months or so ago, but it was only a stock rebuild. We are pushing approximately 350awhp through it, maybe a little more. Any ideas? :(

It doesn't by chance do it at a particular RPM range, does it?

Pretty sure it does not. I know without a doubt it only makes the noise in 3rd gear, and it seems to only make the noise when I am giving it gas.

Well, there goes me piggybacking on this. ;)

Any ideas anyone? Looks like it needs to come apart. (the transmission, of course)
