So on my 98 gsx. When I bought it, it had no downstream o2 sensor in it so I ordered on and put one in it. And it's only reading at .02 volts. Is that normal for a down stream o2 sensor? Alittle background on the car. It has not been tuned so that shouldn't be knocking anything out and it's on stock injectors. The front o2 sensor says it's at 0 volts too

How are you measuring the voltage?

Do you have any CELs?

Your front sensor should be bouncing around between 0.1 and 1.1 volts. If its dead, you'll be running pig rich and have a CEL for it.

Yeah there's a cel for it. I also forgot to mention that it has a 1g engine in it if that makes a difference. I was just trying to see if the the downstream o2 is good. I was planning on replacing the upstream one

And I'm reading the voltage with an obd logging program

Exhaust leaks will affect o2 voltages. Leaks outside air will push the signal lean/low voltage.
Much easier to have the problem with the rear o2 also obviously.

I have no exhaust leaks. I'm just trying to make sure my rear o2 sensor is good and dosent have to be replaced
