o2 Sensor Bung Angle

My Zeitronix WB should be here in a day or two, and I'm gonna get the bung welded and plugged so it's ready to go.

I know I need to weld as far back before the flex as possible. Does the angle and position matter? Zeitronix just says to mount it pointing up between 10 and 2 o'clock.

I've seen angled sensor bungs, but most pics show it just coming straight up from the horizontal pipe. What about the "J" bungs... any advantage?

I'll be taking the car to an exhaust shop to have them weld the bung; anything I should tell them or will they know about these? ( and I hope they have some laying around... M18 x 1.5 threads right?

Any clearance issues to worry about?

you are just trying to get all of the sensor in the exhaust stream.

And not have oil and gas pooling in it, hence the 10-2 suggestion.

I realize that is an old post but it was never really answered and I have the same question. I'm going to order an AEM Wideband soon and I am wondering which bung is better or does it even matter? Straight or 45 degree angled?
