o2 sensor to 1/8 NPT bung plausible?

I am going to be installing a wideband, and will probably be using the narrowband output to feed the computer. Can I simply install an adapter that converts to 1/8 NPT to install an EGT gauge? I am wondering if they are available, and what the adapter would need to be made from

I know there are thread reducers online, you need to know what thread size the o2 sensor is and then you can bring it down to 1/8.

What materials should I be looking at? The melting points I see for brass are in the less than 1000C range.

just take an O2 bung plug drill it and tap it for 1/8 npt. should use a 21/64 drill bit if i recall correctly.

but why do you want egt where the o2 bung is at? Thats too far from the valve to do you any damn good. Who cares how hot the exhaust is 3 feet from the engine? egt post turbo is completely useless.

On the car it will be used on, it's less than a foot. It goes manifold, turbo, o2 housing. It may be a foot from the farthest runner to the o2. I am doing the egt only because it comes free with a review from 14point7.com wideband setup. I just want to get relative temperatures for water methanol. Besides, if you look at the ex. man, there really isn't an easy way to get a temp from all four runners without the block and egt meeting.

yeah, I thought so too. WOndering what a custom manifold and an bigger than vq37 turbo would do for me? Probably not much. Can't find anyone in the US who even knows what a vq37 is, aside from the engine.
