Hi, I am in the process of installing my wideband and I'm not sure where to put the o2 sensor. I know it should be placed at least 36'' from the turbo but also before the flex section. If I am to place it at 36'' from turbo it is about 6'' downstream of the flex section. Is this ok? Should I weld it about 24'' from turbo, before the flex section, or 36'' from turbo after the flex section. -Thanks, John

Hey, thanks a lot for the quick reply. I'm going to get it welded right now and didn't want to mess it up.

Just make sure the sensor is mounted slightly upward an not at the bottom of the pipe to avoid as much contact with condensation as possible. Also (if having it welded off the car) make sure that the bung is mounted so that the O2 sensor has plenty of room to move with the exhaust pipe and not hit the underbody of the car.

I'd neglected to do the second step and had to re-install the bung as ended up too close to the frame :(

I mounted mine just above the bend that comes down from the O2 housing and before the flex pipe. I mounted it 4 oclock if you look at the pipe vertically from the front. There is a pocket there where you can insert, remove and get to the O2 sensor. Just make sure you leave room for the sensor to stick out and for it to not be on a bottom location.
