I just bought a New SBR Manifold , and a Evo 16g, and i have a 3" Thermal Exhaust. I'm looking for a new O2....Is a 3" O2 housing necessary, or will a 2.5 housing do just fine? I can't decide.

My goal for now is 300 horsepower

I was looking at

AMS EVO 3" O2 housing

SBR 2.5 hosing

122 performance O2 housing 2.5 -3 in

HRC 3" O2 housing

stock EVO 2.5 housing (ported)

A 2.5" O2 housing won't really be an issue. Be aware that the EVO exhaust housings mate to the downpipe at a different angle and could be a real PITA if your exhaust currently fits a stock style O2 housing.

If you are getting your exhaust custom fabbed after the install, it's definitely not an issue. For that low of a power level, a well ported 2G would serve you well and it's very cheap. Otherwise a 2.5" tubular O2 housing would be a good bet but watch for long term cracking.
