I plan on getting an atmosphere dump O2 housing, but i have a few questions.
I have ported the turbo and 02 housing, and i still have slight creep. So i figured i will try an o2 dump.

It seems to me that the fit is quite tight. When i look down at the 02/exhaust it seems to be quite close to the oil filter and frame. Just curious if anyone has the same setup on their car that i am planning on doing.
I just want to make sure i will have no clearence issues or issues with melting the oil filter

also, if you do have an o2 dump, which one?

thanks -ted

I've had mine on for a couple months now. Its SSAutochrome. I have a friend who hates them but was surprised by the quality. I havent had any issues at all. Here is a pic

I also ordered the ssautochrome one, and it just came in. I havent installed it yet, but it looks nice as hell, and it came with the downpipe flange and the housing flange, and the bolts too. I might get some more pipe and route the wastegate gas out the side:thumb: .

As far as helping the boost creep, I would think this would make it flow a hell of a lot better, and for the price, its worth a try.

i read in your profile that you have "buschur exhaust" is it a cat back ? because if it is dejon makes a dumper downpipe , its part of my setup works real good no "creep" at all
,just my .02 cents

That's a personal preference question. I think they sound mean as hell. Didn't get one myself just because I got a GREAT deal on a used tubular-recird one. If you like the sound of an untamed engine, it's good. If you like to scare people on the road, it's good. If you want a nice, quiet DD.... why are you modding a DSM??? :D

So having an external dump really helps boost creep? even on the dredded EVOIII?

As to sound, doesnt an external dump make it sound bad at low rpm? kinda like a tractor?

Does it still sound nice under full boost even though its dumped from the 02 housing and not the manifold?

Will the sschrome fit a 2G with a FMIC? I can't seem to tell from the pics as to what room I would have.

Your only going to hear it when the wastegate is open and it won't be open at low rpm.

Dont buy that SS Autochrome crap.

Punishment has been supporting us with quality products at affordable prices for the last few years.

Check em out. I've had one of their o2 dumped housings on my car since 2004 with no problems.

I'm looking at their site, and its about $220 for the same thing as the SSAC one. I don't want to get into a debate about quality made products, but for something like an o2 housing, I don't really see a difference in the two, and the Punishment one is more than double the price.

I run a Tial 38mm wastegate fabbed onto my manifold with an external dump, fixed my creeping issues and sounds awsome when it opens up.. turns heads.

Which housing are you looking to get? The dumped jet coated one?

Whats up everyone!!!
This thread is a few days old but I'll still posted.
To the Opener: The XS power o2 dump or SS autochome o2 dump, will fit on a 1g only IF you still have the stock turbo back exhaust. If you are planning on going with a 3 inch complete turbo back in the future, then this o2 dump will be useless. There is fitment issues on this o2 dump. It seems to be a little short and it has a more aggresive angle than the regular o2 housing. With a 3 inch down pipe, you wont be able to fit it. I have a 1992 talon and this ss autochrome or xs power o2 pump would not aligned corrently. If you force it to bolt on, then the exhasut will be against the oil pan, tranny, and the flanges will be rubbing on the drive shaft. My ss autochrome is brand new and its just sitting in my garage just looking pretty and taking up space. Yes, its a very pretty and shinny o2 dump and the welds are rather nice but no fitment. :barf:
If you really want a quality o2 dump and one that will fit, then I recommend punishment racing or straight line specialist. You pay for what you get for.:thumb:

We only get pissed off when it's a few years old and you still decide to post. Don't worry, you're well in the clear.

Thanks for the info. :)

I was curious if you had the stock downpipe because I guess the SSAC has fitment issues with a 3" downpipe. I am dissapointed in this because I just bought the SSAC dumper and a new downpipe. At least the dumper was only $75
