Hey everyone. I installed my new Atmospheric o2 dump along with SBR's short route FMIC and now the dump is almost directly on top of the I/c piping coming out of the turbo. I have some heat wrap and the silicone spray for it, but I'm unsure if it will really help too much. What do you guys think is it something to really worry about???

I had that problem on my 1g but only it was dumping on the coupler. I ended up just buying a bigger piece of pipe and just clamping it over the coupler and it never broke again. But what you could also do is take of the dump and get a piece of pipe welded to it that dumps it farther down.

I suppose welding a piece on it would be simple, and would not require me pulling it off again. If it leaked alittle around the back where the flange is it wouldn't matter so it doesn't need to be absolutely perfect...

Get flex hose and clamp or weld it in. Then just clamp/ziptie/clip/hang it wherever you want.

Welding actuall pipe to it might break the weld on the o2 housing flange from the weight/unsupported length

yes definitely get it rerouted i have a O2 dump and it get super super hot. so i doubt your wrap will help for to long especially if your out beating on it

Right now the flex piping is probably the way I'll go, making sure just to dump it on the ground this time and I might as well heat wrap the pipe too.

yeah i had the problem when i had a gst for like a month, i started burning through couplers and heating up the air in the IC piping isn't good, I gave the car to muffler man and they do some crazy stuff to get things to work sometime, but it dumped out the bumper. Then i got C-walk :p...ha

Man i had the same problem and just ended up selling the dump... There was nooo way i was going to have that dump touching the lower pipe...but good luck

i had my dump pipe made at an exhaust shop and i had a support bracket bolted to the horn bolt because i have mine dumped in front of the driver side front tire
