Ok i have heard that npr piston rings & pistons hold up pretty good,so those of you using them please post.See i am just sceptical about what kind of parts i use i love genuine especially delicate internal parts like piston rings & pistons, just my 02 cents.Actually i was thinking about a ring job on my dd 1.8 n/t

I've been using them for 12k+ miles in my 6-bolt. They take the abuse and don't complain. I have perfect compression with nippon 2g 8.5:1 pistons and rings, 178psi across the board. I'd recommend them, they were only like $75 or $85 shipped.

Mitsubishi used NPR pistons and rings in the original DSM engines, I believe now they make there own though. I buy mine from Ebay for less than $100 and have put them in two of my own daily drivers and never had a problem with the pistons or rings for over 25,000 miles each.
