My gears do not engage smoothly from 1st to 2nd and going into reverse takes a few tries as if something is not lined up correctly , just a little off or something. Also when in reverse my back up light does not come on, but does come on when its not totally engaged in reverse  Any ideas? New clutch was installed in May.

I have the exact same problem with my car... I can't figure out what happened.
Which bushings are you talking about Spooln? All of the shifter bushings from the shifter to the tranny are fine... What else should we look into for adjustments? :dsm:

i have the same problem going into all my gears except 5th, i lose races to Geo Metros because i have to take a second or two to go into second, third, and fourth cause it's so notchy/sticky

LOL...one of the quirks of our cars. Please do yourself a favor and don't spend money trying to make it work perfectly. Our cars just have notchy shifting. There should be info on this everywhere. There's a couple things you can do to lessen the degree of the problem. Should be in the upgrade path, and on VFAQ, tech guide etc...

the thing is... it wasn't always like that, this just recently developed. All I want to do is return to the way it was shifting before. :dsm:
