not sure if i have a 1g MAF or 2g MAF

i bought my 97 gst with a 6 bolt swap already in it. im not sure if the maf i have is the original from the 7 bolt or if its new for the 6 bolt. is there any way of telling? only reason i need to know if becasue when i order MAFT i need to select whether i have the wiring for a 2g maf or 1g maf

Even though the car has the 6bolt swap, The 2g mafs will still be used.

You can easily tell if you have a 1G or 2G MAF. The 1G unit is pretty large. I doubt anyone would swap in a 6 bolt motor and keep the POS 1G MAF.

If you appear to have a large thick adapter peice attached to your filter, the you have a 1G MAS, if you have a black sqaured box following the filter, with connections facing the firewall, then you have a 2G- most likely!- The 2G came stock with one, If the person who sold this car to you was able to swap a 6 bolt into a 2G, He would definitaly be smart enough to keep the 2G MAS
