Hey do you guys think 1g maf is good or should i go to a 2g maf? what is better the 1g maf or the 2g maf and someone say to me that if you change to a 2g maf you will have problems and what kind of problems if any. I know you can make the 1g maf flow better. And will it hurt if i when to a blow off valve?:dsm: I also am running a FPR on my car rigth now. Would I have to put a SAFC OR 5550cc injector on? I am going to buy a 1g to 2g MAS Plug & Play harness

The 2g maf can accurately read more airflow. You will have to wire in the 2g maf. What are you trying to ask in the last sentance?

a 2G MAF limit is higher than the 1g so you can make more power with it than a 2g . Yes it will hurt performance if you vent your BOV using a stock maf (no matter if is a 1g or a 2g). Why you dont try a MAF-T set-up ,it will work better than the 1g or 2g maf and you can vent if you put it after the BOV ,and you can compensate for bigger injectors too, it will take care of all your worries and is very easy to use.

This topic has been discussed a 100 times. Use the search button and read up on it for yourself. Decide what your future goals are for the car and make the most intelligent decision for you own personal car.

Yes, you will need something to compensate for the 2g MAS on a 1g, otherwise you will run lean. 550 injectors just about balance out, but a better idea would be an safc to get it dialed in exactly. DSMlink or just about any other tuning tool will work as well.

so MAF-T set-up would be better of me so I can vent with my blow off?:dsm:

yes you could. but unless you really know what your doing, and why your doing it, i wouldnt go with the MAF-T. coorect me if im wrong, but i believe you can tune for a venting BOV through DSMLink which is a way better investment. why anyone with a dsm would want to vent their BOV is beyond me. i recirculate mine and its still loud as hell.

Not meaning to be a thread jacker, but just so I understand this statement a little better....You can simply throw in some 550 injectors on a standard M/T ECU and hook up a 2g MAF to a 1g and everything will work with no problems? I am running a 16g with 450 injectors and I am maxing out the injectors on 14psi around 6500 RPM. Would this allow more higher end if I converted to 550's and a 2g MAF?

Yes, if that's your goal.

The only way to properly vent your BOV is with a blow through setup and having the MAF after the BOV, or a speed density setup. You cannot tune out venting and a draw through MAS with DSMlink.

A 2g MAS on a 1g will make it think it's seeing 20%ish less airflow than it actually is, and inject less fuel accordingly(lean). 550's are 18%ish more fuel to richen it back up. I can't remember nor find the exact %'s, someone else will have to chime in.

I would still at least have a logger to watch over everything.

i just put a 2g maf on my 1g and put a chipped eprom and my car runs better than ever. i havce precision turbo 580s and a br 16g with a 34mm w gate. the car runs like a champ and it really wasnt that pricey
