So I was helping a few friends with a BLT when I noticed that on my friends evo9's inlet housing was a lot larger than that of my friends evo3 16g on his gsx. The previous owner his gsx said that he polished the lettering of the housing so I can't get a number off the compressor housing. Are they suppose to be the same size? I've been trying to search and according to a few other topics the only difference is that the evo's have a twin scroll turbo and there mounted opposite of each other. The inlet of the turbo on the gsx was 2 inches and the inlet on the evo9 was 2.5inches i think. I forgot the measurments.

The EVO 9 turbo is a totally different part from the EVOIII. They don't share anything but a logo.

totally agreed. i was in the process of doing the same thing. they are different. look at a 16g for a eclipse and then look at a 16g for like a 3000GT. totally a huge size difference....my buddy put 16g turbo's on his 3000GT and they were still the size of my fist. anyways tell your friend to chill. take care
