noob question about turbo install

Ok I'm about to attempt my first turbo swap, upgrading my t-25 to a bigt-28, with over 170,000 miles on the t-25 I think it would be a good idea to change all the gaskets. 1st question what gaskets should i get (I'm confused on the 7cm and 6cm stuff, how do i tell which one i should get) also where do I purchase them. And finally should I replace anything else like bolts, washers, upgrade the oil line(yes i know a t-28 it direct bolt on but read somewhere that u should replace it anyways with a braided line?) or anything like that?

i believe the 6cm gasket will work. I would change my oil lines too if you have the money, it is cheap insurance in the long run.......also, new bolts and washers, heck yea.....git r dun............check with extremepsi.com for those parts, i believe they have em.......hotwheels of turborides

Definatly get all new gaskets. You will need..

Manifold to head, Gasket.

Turbine housing to o2 housing, Gasket.

Turbo to oil return line gasket, and return line to oil pan gasket.

o2 housing to downpipe gasket.

Turbo to manifold gasket.

Felpro sells a gasket kit for our cars that comes with everything i listed except for the mani/head gasket. Which they also make one but you hafto buy it seperate. Also, They will have 2 or 3 different size turbo to manifold gaskets in this kit, And you will use to larger one.


You can buy a ss oil feed line, If you have the money. They are about $55.00 shipped maybe more maybe less, But not by much.

if your going to get a ss line for your oil id suggest going to www.extremepsi.com the part is 45.00 and free shipping. i just bought one. they do excellent buisness and send a tracking number the next day.
