Noob question about lighting...

Ok so here goes. I have some new gauges and what not and I'm just wanting to plug them into the dimmer switch I guess it is, so when all the interior lights are on so will my gauge cluster and gauges. My boost gauge is wired up like this, but the previous owner installed it. Any info would be appreciated.
