Noise wtf!!! Please help (video included)

my car makes a ringing noise everytime it gets between 2500RPM-3000RPM its annoying from the inside but it sounds really bad from the outside, the noise sounds like its coming from around the intake manifold area but i could be totally wrong bc its kinda hard to tell exactly where it would be coming from.

anyways i used to only have 2 CEL codes which were knock sensor and oxygen sensor but now it shows 7 codes which are


P0300 -Random multiple misfire detected
P0136-Oxygen sensor circuit bank 1 sensor 2 (see P2270, P2271)
P0141-Oxygen sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor2
P0120-Throttle/Pedal position sensor A circuit
P0325-Knock sensor 1 circuit (bank 1)
P1400-No DTC definition found. See service manual
P0125-Insufficient coolant temperature for closed loop control

Sounds like a loose heat shield on the exhaust.

dumb question: Where would that be? like close to where it bolts up to the turbo housing?

I agree with tsi40422, exhaust shield.
I've heard mine do the same when the shields are nearly rusted off.
Look between the engine and the flex section.

I checked and it doesn't have one, the car came with a 3" turboback and I dnt see any shield what so ever

So did this start happening and then two codes shot right then after some time with the sound it is giving more codes now? or was it 7 from the start of the noise happening?

From what I remember its always had that noise but it only had 2 codes at first which were knock sensor and oxyges sensor but I just put all the trouble codes in the first post just incase someone saw something

And i checked my knock sensor today and it looked Like it was cut off bc behind the bracket under the maniforld was a sensor like plug that had a stripped wire hanging

That sounds to me more like a pulley or belt grinding on a bracket or something plastic (like the timing cover). It changes exactly with RPM, and only shows up at a specific resonance. I would check around the alternator, PS pump, cam gears, and belts for any wear or scratch/scuff marks, and make sure the harmonic dampener isn't separating.

And fix your knock sensor.

Damn I still can't find the problem, and the bottom bolt is missing from the bracket under the intake mani imma try nd put one in and see if it helps

Take your oil cap off and rev it, yoru oil baffle could be really lose, if it gets louder when you do this I'd say that is it. Just a thought.

You just have something loose. Try to pinpoint where it is.

do you know where the sound is the loudest? you should use a stethoscope thing and have some one keep it on the rev point for you while you pinpoint the loudest spot

It seems like it comes soomewhere from the throttle body or the intake manifold or somewhere from the injectors forward..

FOUND THE PROBLEM: The bracket under the intake manifold had a bolt missing and it wash shaking bad thus making noise but i bolted it up and ot went away
