alt belt making noise Video included

So i replaced the belt and it makes this noise i tried adjusting the tension tighter and looser nothin seems to work. Heres the video.

Looks to me like you have an issue with belt alignment. I have no sound here at work but visually it looks as though the belt is having to angle to the left to get onto the alternator pulley.

That doesn't sound like a belt problem, what it does sound like is a problem with the power steering compressor. Try this and see if the sound persists; have the car running but stationary and turn the steering wheel all the way in each direction. Does that same sound happen?

Ok and with belt alignment i noticed the water pump pulley is not in line with the crankshaft and the alt pulley. Why would the water pump pulley have moved? Is there anyway i can just try and loosen the bolts on the pulley and push it in further?

edit: Ok i put a better belt on there the noise is away it is actually pretty quite. My power steering fluid is good.

But now i have a knocking it feels as if its right under my feet at the pedals. Its basically as soon as i let off the gas and coast in gear, it seldom does this any other time. It does not do this at idle ever. Any ideas?

So it only does it while you are rolling? If that is true then you have a driveline problem. Probably a CV.

check your CRANK PULLEY now before driving the car any further

check it and have it changed if you see any signs of rubber faliure or wear

as for the WATER PUMP PULLEy it looks like that your belts were very tight so it bent the pulley overtime.

check everyhting and do not tight the belt too much and have you C pulley checked ASAP.

The Crankshaft pulley is good. I just had the timing belt done at the dealer about a week ago they would have said something. Im also surprised they did not say ne thing abotu the water pump pulley. Today i had also took the car to a shop about the noise when i am coasting in gear/out of gear. They said it sounds like a cv shaft or joint. I was in an accident 2 months ago and they had replaced the driveaxle on the left side. So im thinking of checking my cv this weekend. But what should i look for that would be making the noise, and is there any rings that are used that could be knocking.?

By the way the car runs fine now all but the knocking.

This is not an assumption I would make.

The Crankshaft pulley is good.

Because of not only this but it is also something you can miss easily.

Check your pulley regardless but other factors may be in play as stated. Good luck!

Make sure all your pulleys are tight and the alignment is correct. I know after i did mine the alignment was a little tweaked

Flip your water pump pulley around I'm betting it's on there backwards. There is a correct way to put it on and it looks like your is on wrong.

Check all your pulleys and make sure none of them are bent and are on tight.

they are all on tight, my water pump pulley has a small one first then a bigger pulley on the outside.

check for any signs of wear or tear on the belts (sides) and on the pulleys could be something on the way.

A good way to test a cv joint, find a wide open space like an empty parking lot and from a stand still turn your steering wheel hard left as far as you can, then pull away keeping the steering wheel pulled to the left so you are going in a circle, then try the opposite direction, if in one direction It starts to clunk then that cv joint is worn.

+1 ...butr it could be the ujoints and or the drive shaft is bent/bad/or needs ballanced ...or the exhaust is hitting or rubbibg in the floorboard like alot of dsm's have a proablom with

Ok so i got everything working great it runs great no sounds...it ended up being my left tire was loose the dealer didnt tighten them enough and only 2 bolts were tight... you can tell im a noob any way im gunna check the pulley out now but as far as everthing else its fixed. Thanks for all the help guys.

Ok so i took the pulley off and turned it around....wow it was on backwards great eye project thanks my car is back to 100% now.
