Im trying to get my fidanza alum flywheel step height checked and cut but none of the machine shops i take it to will touch it. Does anybody know what kind of lathe i need to find to get this cut, or what the step height of a new fidanza wheel is?

Right from Fidanza's website... Amazing what Google can do, eh?

WHAT STEP HEIGHT IS MY NEW FIDANZA FLYWHEEL MADE WITH? – We design our flywheels using the factory step height. The only exception would be custom units or those intended for multi disc clutches.

As for your other question, most shops (That I know of) use a machine specifically for flywheels. I doubt you're going to find one of those on Craigslist...

Why would you need to cut a Fidanza or change the step height? Replacement friction surfaces are available for purchase, and the step height remains unchanged from the factory spec.

Exactly: replace the friction disc. Its just held in by a bunch of philips screws iirc.

I test everything that goes into my car, why do a job twice when i can be done once? Its a new friction, used disk, but since the clutch the previous owner put in didnt hold shit for torque id like to be certain to outrule a flywheel failure.
I still cant find a proper spec online, but i guess if "factory spec" counts as a numerical 100% of accuracy and outrules any sort of quality error ill trust your judgements.
