I have a flywheel that i recieved with a few boxed of parts. Was fairly rusty until i hit it with some light sandpaper and this goo stuff that "removes rust" but still has some surface rust. Here is a pic. Just wondering if it can be used. thanks

the rust seems to be the only problem with it. it started to come off in a few places as you can see. i just dont know much about machine work and how much rust is to much rust..if that makes since haha

Your local machine shop will know and have the ultimate say.
Personally, I think it will work - IMHO.
I think we paid $20 for a resurface.

I trust them to do the steps properly (but you might want to check them...).

I had to drill my pins out and buy new ones.
Shop could not get them out.

Ohh ya that thing will come out beautiful after a surface. It is not rusty it is seasoned.
