Ok my problem is the starter is not kicking on when the key is turned all the way to the on position,i can hear my fuel pumps kicking on, but no starter at all. The starter is getting power from the battery and the ground that goes through the bolt and transmission and starter is grounded to the chassis since I relocated my battery to the trunk.
The starter is new though, I have replaced my whole engine harness and fuse box harness preparing my car since this is a new build, fresh motor, just having electrical woes

Makes it hardere since I dont know exactly what year your TSi? is, auto or manual or if it's equipt with antitheft.

See if you have power on the black/yellow wire to the starter on crank.

Does it have a "security" indicator in the dash when the key is turned on for the bulb check? That is a anti-theft equipt vehicle.
The starter relay is behind the radio area/center console.
The black yellow out of the relay sends power to the starter.
1st diagram is anti theft, 2nd without.
