so my car will not start,
i have checked a few things first i thought it was the fuel pump so i installed a walbro 255 and the thing still wont start.
I looked at some wires and found out a ground was not hooked up coming from the battery so i grounded it out on the starter and tried again, it still didnt work
so i started looking around i checked my cts and the wires were broken off at the connector so i bought some quick splices and some spade connectors and hooked it back up. still nothing
it sounds like it wants to fire up like it almost starts but then still dies
im out of ideas here and i need my car because its snowing outside.
i also noticed during the last couple days of it running it would start then die so i would have to start it and rev it up for a couple minutes until it would idle on its own. when i parked it the night before it ran completly fine the whole day and i didnt have a problem starting it after i started it once in the morning.
any ideas guys?

doesnt smell funny
nothing looks like it leaked but there is like dust or something on it kinda looks like spider webs and is white. On the bottom pic the battery looking thing looks like it has ben messed with and soldered back on i checked the bottom of it and there is wires and stuff crossing across the board
nothing is broken or anything though
im guessing it was ### of the rebuild on it

anybody else have any ideas
i need my car to run
also the day before it broke the cel flashed a couple times
it didnt stay on long enough for me to check it though it kept flashing

k so i unbolted the fuel rail and tried starting it and no fuel came out of the injectors
any ideas guys
is there a fuse?

yes the fuel pump is pumping there is fuel going to and from the fuel filter i loosened the nut on top of the fuel filter and fuel squirted everywhere when i tried to start it

^^^ you have time, its easier to remove the fuel rail bolts. Remove the whole rail and have someone start the car and see if the injectors spray(use a towel please, you don't want unnecessary fires). To make it easier spray starting fluid in to throttlebody while someone tries to start the car(be careful spark sends fire right to the source, which is can in hand) if it starts then you know its fuel issue. Remember car needs air, fuel and fire for combustion, simple process of elimination which might lead you back to the ECU issue or NOT.

my 1990 gst that i had years back did this. All summer first start of the day it would take 2-50 starting attempts and then it would run great and start the rest of the day. It would start right up and die immediately in the morning. Six months later in the winter, my ecu was smoking like crazy. replaced it and it never did that again. All also sent my current ecu to get socketed some months back and the guy said the it was on its way out and the caps were leaking but the car had no symptoms of such

i already did that man
and no fuel came out of the injectors while trying to start the car

heres my other issue im gonna try and borrow an ecu to see if that the problem
but what ecu can i put in my car
my car is a 90
my motor is a 92
my cas is a 90 along with my coil packs and intake manifold and injectors and tranny
which ecu will work
i think i have a 92 ecu in my car right now

91-94 share the same ecu# e931. You must check for pulsewidth on the injectors to be sure its the ecu. If you have a multimeter that sweeps you can check if the ecu is alive as well.
