so my car will not start,
i have checked a few things first i thought it was the fuel pump so i installed a walbro 255 and the thing still wont start.
I looked at some wires and found out a ground was not hooked up coming from the battery so i grounded it out on the starter and tried again, it still didnt work
so i started looking around i checked my cts and the wires were broken off at the connector so i bought some quick splices and some spade connectors and hooked it back up. still nothing
it sounds like it wants to fire up like it almost starts but then still dies
im out of ideas here and i need my car because its snowing outside.
i also noticed during the last couple days of it running it would start then die so i would have to start it and rev it up for a couple minutes until it would idle on its own. when i parked it the night before it ran completly fine the whole day and i didnt have a problem starting it after i started it once in the morning.
any ideas guys?

Check to see if your chasing a fuel problem or a spark problem first.

Get some propane and spray it in the intake and intake manifold, if it kicks over and runs kinda lawn-mowerish it's a fuel problem, if it doesn't it a spark plug problem.

check to see if your CAS moves, (move it slighty to see if it moves very easily) if it does, replace it.

Also your fuel pressure regulator maybe restricting. There is a kit your suppose to buy, but if you use the kit, if the fuel pressure isn't as high as 30ish PSI, you may need a new regulator.

how do i check the ecu what do i look for?

first of all you can turn you key to the on position and the check engine light should come one and the stock boost gauge should go to 0. If that doesnt happen then the ecu is toast. You would have to get a 90 only turbo ecu but you can use a 91-94 ecu with some swapping of pins.

i already did that man
and no fuel came out of the injectors while trying to start the car

heres my other issue im gonna try and borrow an ecu to see if that the problem
but what ecu can i put in my car
my car is a 90
my motor is a 92
my cas is a 90 along with my coil packs and intake manifold and injectors and tranny
which ecu will work
i think i have a 92 ecu in my car right now

motor doesn't make a difference because if you still have the 90 wiring in the vehicle.

i never had to swap the pins with the 92 ecu and i never had any check engine lights
once i swapped those 2 pins then my car started acting funny so i swapped them back and it ran fine again
so i have ben driving it like that for like 3 months

anyone think its the cas
i have a spare from a 92
but i think its a different plug
how do i wire it in the right way?

unfortunately, most of the sensors on 1990 fit 90 only, such as tps, cas, etc. i believe the 90 computer is the e743 if not mistaken. I would definitely turn key to run and check for boost gauge and cel. If thats good, try and pull any codes out of the ecu with a sweeping multimeter. If there is no pulsewidth on injectors its dead too. Dont just start buying parts and wasting money. Ive never had experience with a 1g cas going bad, but many a ecu.

Did you go through the procedures i spoke of, that will let you know for sure, not just looking at it.

ya it didnt smell or anything
im gonna check and see if the boost gauge goes to zero when i try cranking it
i know the cel goes off when im cranking though

If the computer is completely toast, the cel wont even turn on! Then try and check for diagnostic codes
