Ok just got new rings and rod bearing installed, now everything is back together and after connecting all the wires back together I am getting no spark.

I assume I am getting fuel since I took the regulator off the side and it spilled out (but do not know how to check if injectors are pulsing or not). Ok, I read so many forums about no spark on our DSM's and it is just confusing to me still on how to test the power transmitter and the coil packs. Can I just use my multimeter to test these things or what? I seem to not find any straight answers on this. I know there is not any spark because I took out the plugs one by one and had someone crank the car and I seen no spark out of any of the plugs.

Another question is do I have the plugs hooked up right when everything got put back together? I'm getting confused with the plug that comes from I believe is the cruise control because the plug comes from underneath the throttle cable box thing, and I see the plug that comes from the sensor on the throttle body, where do I plug these? Thx

You can test the power transister by the coil pack with a multi meter. Mine was bad so I replaced it. In the manual it should tell you the wire order. Also take the fuel rail out and have someone crank the car, you should see the fuel pulse out.

On a 1G always start by checking the ECU before swapping other parts.

Does the CEL turn on for 5 seconds when you turn the ignition on?
Does the factory boost gauge move to 0 and start there until you start cranking when it moves to -7?
Does it return to 0 when you stop cranking and the engine hasn't started?
Does the MPI relay click 10 seconds after you turn the ignition off?
Does the ISC click for a short time when you turn the ignition on?
Does the Tach move while cranking?

When it comes to wiring, check the FSM for the color of the wires running to any connector in question. If they don't match the manual then it's not the connector you think it is.

There are lots of fun issues when you have a 90 since the wires are over 20 years old and have been in a hot oily environment. They tend to be brittle and easily broken when you move them to pull or replace the engine.

So start with the ECU, then look at the CAS since the ECU needs it's signals to do anything interesting. Then the power transistor and coil pack.

Did you remember to reinstall the 90 noise filter on the intake manifold stay and reconnect it?
