No Spark?

I recently swapped a motor into my 90 TSI, after making sure i had everthing where it needed and all hat good stuff, i made sure i had compression, and fuel...but then i found i had no spark, the car turns over but no go. The car makes a clicking noise as it turns, i tested and found that coil pack isnt getting any juice, i had another coil and i tried it still nothing, i was wondering if a sensor would cause this, im not entirely familar with the Crank/cam postion sensor which is what i orginally thought it was...should i get a new one? any thoughts?

Check the power transistor, if that's not it, it can be your ecu or CAS,same thing happend to me and the CAS was the culprit

thats what i was thinking, im gonna get on it tomorrow, just trying to make a list of stuff to consider

Did you check the fuses on the battery terminal. If the coil does not have 12V+ then you should start tracing that back to find the problem.

I would say to pull your ecu to make sure there's no major leaking going on, or burns. It's an easy step. If it's good there, then I'd say to try another CAS and see if that fixes the issue.

After re-reading, it sounds like the ecu was running the car before the engine swap. You may just want to diagnose the power transistor or the CAS. How were the wires? Were these from the original application as well?

Its all from the original....i have another question i have 3 CAS, 1 is the one on it, the other 2 are slightly diffrent, the on on the motor has the like blue inline connection on the sensor, the other 2 have the connection running down a wire to the regular 4 prong connection all over the engine...

what would i need to do to wire one of these up if necessary?

anything?
