So i just got my car running, took it for a drive in the parking lot next to my house. Now. It idels fine but when i started driving it just didnt want to drive. Could hardly get into 2nd gear. Feel slugish and very unresponsive. Compression is good kinda low 139 across. Maybe boost controller is bad?? Any help is ok. Thanks Robert

How do i set base timing or w.e, just dont understand what u mean

Should i re-route the bov? And i just dont want the bat to die

Yes the lines should be redone. I don't know of anyone that has the lines set up like vfaq. I did go verify and you did it correctly by the thread on there though. If I were you, I would reroute the boost controller like I showed you. The bov should have a line run from the vacuum port to the intake manifold with no t-fittings at all. (should be it's own dedicated line). Then the boost gauge can be hooked into one of the top ports on the throttle body (which I have never seen), or t'ed into the fuel pressure regulator line (it should be a short line on the driver side of fuel rail).

Good call! Didnt do that, could that really affect the car alot?
Thanks for the mbc link :) and theres a nipple on the turbo?

Very accurate boost source, mind you. Only one I ever use.

I am not sure if you will have a nipple on the turbo since you have a 1g, Keiya can confirm if there is one or not though. I do know the j-pipe is perfect to use though for the boost controller. So one end will hook to the wastegate actuator and the other will be hooked to the J-pipe (on a t25 it would hook directly to a turbo).

For the 1G there is usually not. The Stock setup runs from the nipple on the J pipe to the BCS and then to the wastegate. However, for proper wastegate pressure as it currently is - JPipe>Manual Boost Controler>Wastegate

If I recall correctly, The T25 has the nipple on the turbo because technically the J-pipe is part of the turbo where as on the 1G, the 14b turbo has a separate j-pipe that the nipple comes off of. usually for diag purposes, I run a single hose from my j-pipe to the wastegate and bypass any MBC or the boost solenoid and just cap off the solenoid. One less problem to worry about.

i see you have gotten alot of good help. when i had the same problem it was a bad gasket on the exaust manifold (connecting to turbo). and the plug that connects to MAF was not seated properly and that defenetly cause it to run bad, perhapse, a air leak some were in you intercoolers piping, could cause similar symptons ..... But i do have a question for all of you! HOW do i post on this site so I can recieve help from others. (STEP BY STEP) i hqve not figured it out yet it's been a WHILE!!!! , thanks,

Id like to thank everyone who had helped me in all my recent posts! You guys are awesome! Turns out the cam sensor? Had to be rotated up. Or left i guess cause it was all the way right. :D!

If you just moved the CAS by hand because it looked off without timing light etc, you just adjusted timing incorrectly.

You need to adjust timing the correct way using the engine timing link posted a few posts back.

You cannot just move the CAS without grounding the ECU plug in the bay and confirming all the timing marks.

I will time correctly tom when i have a gun, will running be bad?

Any incorrect adjustment of timing is bad to run, and I'd highly recommend you don't run it.

You could be running highly rich or highly lean, either one of those scenarios doesn't bode well for anything to do with your car.

If you don't do it right, don't do it at all
