hello,

My car wont start since it seems to have no power at ignition. I was taking out my stereo and i left it out so i would do it the next day. The next day when i go back to my car, the car has no power at ignition. The lights work fine.

Everything that is directly related to the battery works fine but all the stuff that would work after i switch to ACC don't work. I checked all the fuses, they all look good. I don't know what has caused this problem.
really need help
thanks.

yes , i checked all fuses in and out
the only ones i couldnt tell were about 3 black ones. I dont know what they really are for.
the ones that were marked for ignition were good.

I don't know which 3 black ones you are talking about unless these are the main supply which must be checked. Just because your lights come on doesn't mean your battery is charged so you must verify you have enough power to activate the ignition system. You really need a manual which has good schematics and troubleshooting guide.

what kind of manual is good ?
i have the haynes manual.
the battery isnt the problem for sure, if i open the door , the door light turns on and everything
but when i turn the ignition on , no lights turn on whatever so ever.

I'd forgotten you had said you had pulled the radio. I think the ECU relay is behind the radio, maybe you knocked it or the plug loose when tugging on wires or reaching your hand up inside the dash. Get a flashlight and look around.

i checked the harness for the ecu relay right under where the arm rest is
its clicked in good and everything..
where is the real ecu located though?
and is it possible that the ecu relay can go bad all of a sudden?

what am i better of doing, towing the car to a mechanic or to a dealership ?

thanks alot for the help.

Did the relay click when you turned the key to on or start?

If not either the relay is bad or you have no power activating the relay. Yes the relay can fail but I'm more inclined to think it has something to do with removing the radio, alarm if you have one. You must have power going to the key at all times, this is on a plug which could have been knocked loose as well.

I don't know your skills so can't give council on towing to a professional. Can't help you with the ECU location, I'm sure others can.

Cheers,
GTM

I know this is an old thread but did you ever find the problem?
