Ive had this car for about i dont know 4 years now and swapped 3 blocks since then and never have actually ran into a knock senor till this most recent block from a 95 motor, ive read that they shouldnt even start or they should go into limp mode? the first 2 years the car was boosted with a AEM FIC the next year it was N/A with stock ecm, then the most recent build was turbo but no aem fic? do you actually need a knock sensor ? or is it ok to run with out it? i mean its been 4 years with out one...

The car at first ran on 93 with methane Injection ? Would they have removed it then too? But even if it was due to fuel set up I swapped my harness and still havnt seen any plug for it ?

To my knowledge they all had them on the back of the block. It should have never been removed and you can not turn it off with the stock ecu. I would expect it to throw a CEL with it removed.

The 420a isn't my area of expertise, but if you are using an engine management solution that allows you to monitor knock directly, I highly suggest you utilize a knock sensor. How were you able to run a turbocharged 420a without using the AEM Fuel Ignition Controller?

Also, I am assuming that you meant methanol injection, and not natural gas (methane).

Yes I been able to for about a year now I'd say. I think the max I was able to hit was 18 psi on a Walbro 255 and stock fuel set up with a fpr on the return side of the rail

And yes well alcohol injection it said

Did the stock 420a come with a knock sensor? if it didnt then obviously you would have no place to plug one in and you would have no cel for the lack of one.
