Just got my gsx running, and found out that the gauge cluster lights, interior and reverse lights arent coming on.

The car had a Viper alarm system that I unplugged for now, as it didnt work with it either.

Im having trouble finding the culprit of my electrical issue. Id like to have atleast the cluster working.

Previous owner put in gauge overlays and his cluster lights didnt work either, So I just swapped a new cluster in to get rid of the leds he stuck in there along with the ricer gauge overlays.

All other lights work in the cluster just not the actual light bulbs.

All the lights you mentioned, with the exception of the reverse lights, being off could be a bad door switch, and the reverse lights plug is in the engine bay on the tranny

I'll check the tranny plug when I get home, but the actual courtesy lights come on, just not the climate control lights.

The light for the ignition switch works, courtesy lights, headlights, tail lamps, everything but what I need to see the gauges at night and the cc controls works.

Actually, when I was doing the oil and filter the other day, I noticed a wire was torn off around the bottom of the radiator. It had a hard plastic cover and was only one wire. I think once I get the turbo problem good and can actually drive this thing regularly I want to put it on a lift and go to town looking for problems. I hate trouble shooting upside down on concrete.

Sounds like a bad 2g dimmer switch.

To test, unplug the dimmer switch connector under the dash. It should be a 4 pin inline connector with 3 wires on it - black with yellow stripe, black, and green with white stripe. On the harness side plug, jumper the black with yellow stripe wire to the black wire. The dash lights should now go on full when taillights are on.

For dimmer functionality: When you find out just how expensive a new 2g dimmer is (which is different than the 1g one), you may decide to just stay with this fix (or go used).

so i just about asked what to do about no gauge cluster lights... until i seen your post...

got a used switch from junkyard and BAMMM..
God said let there be light!!!!..
