Hey folks......so, I took off the old ,rusted exhaust system on my 1999 GS. Everything including the exhaust manifold. I was installing the new header back system I purchased, header on, downtube on, test pipe on and intermediate pipe on. Didnt put the o2 sensors in but had to move the car into the garage since I lost daylight. Had the car running while I was rounding up my tools and realised....no check engine light!? There are 2 o2 sensors missing........and no light? Any ideas besides check engine light bulb out? Anything I dont know? Thanks:hmm:

Cycle key on and off. That will show you if your actual bulb is good. As for o2 sensors, I belive it. Takes time to register and flash code.

I actaully just plugged my obd2 reader into the car......engine has been running for a while...a few times today.........reader says no codes found. I wrapped my header in DEI heat wrap so engine has been running to let it cure......still no light. Just the bulb ya think? Thanks guys:confused:

If you arnt getting any codes then their is no reason why the light should be on.You have to complete a drive cycle for any codes to be thrown. The car has to switch between closed loop and open loop before a o2 code will throw

Are you asking about the conditions of the bulb itself? Or the matter of why the cel hasn't come in yet due to your missing sensors? If it's about bulb, do like I said and cycle key from off to acc to see if it does in fact illuminate. About the cel for your sensors, go for a 20-30 min drive. That should be ample time to go from open to closed loop

Much appreciated.......I will take it for a ride and see what happens. Thank you

I was just curious because Im prepping for emissions and inspection. Just got tags today. Going to replace the bulb tommorow and go from there.
