The title says it all, when I turn the key the CEL doesn't illuminate for 4-5 seconds like it's supposed to. I've looked and looked online and haven't found a solution. This is a 1995 GSX with a 6bolt swap and '92 CAS. The wiring to the CAS is fine, the mechanical timing is fine, ALL fuses are fine (room lamp, radio, blue engine fuse).

I've looked over pretty much everything, and it's a fresh ECU with V3 installed straight from ECMLink (so sensor ground pin 92 should be good). I can "connect" to Link just fine with my laptop and adjust parameters, but when I turn the key in the "ON" position, no CEL appears.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

EDIT: I didn't mention the car doesn't start. :ohdamn:

Check the 10A fuse under the dash, I'm not sure what its labeled on the fuse box cover but its #8 here in this diagram.

Its also possible that the CEL circuit inside the ECU is damaged, I would think that ECMTuning would have caught that though since you mentioned the ECU just came back from them.

So there's 12v at the fuse with IGN SW to ON but there isn't 12v at pin 36 of the ECU harness when its unplugged?

Check resistance across that fuse, don't just look at it, make sure theres 0 ohms across it.

Check continuity between pin 51 of C-04 (car side of gauge cluster) and pin 36 at the ECU with ignition off.

Check for 12v at pin 10 of C-06 (car side of gauge cluster) with ignition on.

If both check out you either have a problem in the cluster, a problem in the ECU, or a loose connection between the the ECU and the harness at pin 36.

Holy $#!T... I'm SO sorry you guys, I forgot to mention in the OP that the car doesn't start! (cranks NO start condition) Thus why I'm concerned about the CEL not coming on when the key is turned to the "ON" position :ohdamn:

Again, I'm sorry.. I've been frustrated for hours and have run into countless dead ends, so please bear with me..

That's what I found when I was looking through the forums, but the 20A motor fuse is good, it has continuity, and the ECU is straight out-of-the-box from ECMLink. Should I just email Tom from ECMTuning about this?
