I went to the track this past weekend and tried to use for the first time the "launch control/2 step" feature on DSMLink V3.

I noticed that I reved to 4500 RPMs (which is what I had Link set at) and it wouldn't build ANY boost. My boost gauge would go from vacuum to 0 but NO boost. My setup includes PR FMIC, FP Green, SMIM, Comp 101200 cams, 255, FIC 850s, stock 7 bolt, stock head and all the other supporting jazz.

Does the fact that the FP Green is a "later spooling" turbo affect that it doesn't build boost?

Or is it as simple as me having a boost leak and that can be the only reason?

I did a blt and showed no boost leaks but maybe I missed some VERY small ones, if that affects it in a large way.

Thanks for any input.

I will sound like a really big race newb (which I am) LOL but I haven't touched the antilag at all on Link.

All I did was change the limiter to 4500 and hit "Save to ECU" So I'm assuming this HAS to be my issue.

I guess I need to do more research on the antilag feature of Link.

Anybody have any good links?

Thanks for the link. I never knew ignition retard/antilag had anything to do with 2 step.... wow...

Try increasing your throttle position (ie. floor it if you're not already) to build more boost. I don't really use my launch control all that much because my car is my DD and I need the stock tranny to last, but if I remember correctly, you have to have a high enough throttle position to build boost at the line. Give it a try and if it doesn't work, try increasing the launch rev limit to get a little more aggressive with that big turbo.

Ok thanks I'll try that.

I believe sometimes I reved to 4500 only at part throttle and sometimes at WOT with no change but I'll try it again anyway.

Oh yea I hit ~24 lbs with no problem. Did it spool up fine at any lesser RPMs? Are you integrating antilag?

you can't compare your turbo to a 16g. I think something has to be wrong with your set up because with my car that has a 57 trim on it will build 3 or 4 pounds at 4500 and I only have a 10 pound spring in my waste gate. Do you have any pre turbo exhaust leaks because my car did the same thing when my gasket was leaking

External gate off the o2 and I don't think it has preturbo leaks. Everything seems pretty tight.
