I have attempted to use the "search" feature multiple times, so please guys don't give me grief. I am kinda newish to this forum, but, oh jeez, I have done some reading. haha
I've noticed people recommend the NGK plugs so I went with that. Are these the right plugs for the 1.8l? BPR6EY-11
They are V-POWER coppers. (I'm sure you guys know that.
)
Also, is the gap already set? I suppose not, so what would the gap size be?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, I have a couple of questions regarding a car I am considering purchasing.
The car is a 1998 GSX with 100,000 miles on it.
What are the stock vacuum, boost, and oil pressure levels? I know those questions seem kinda dumb, but I'd rather ask a knowledgeable group of individuals.
Are there any things that I should pay extra close attention to?
If they allow me to, should I take the IC piping off and check for oil or anything in particular?
Any advice what so ever is 100% appreciated. I don't mind criticism as that is one of the only ways I will be able to learn a great deal about these cars. I am coming from a non-turbo background, so I will have to come a long way to gain the knowledge of some of you folks!
I do plan on picking up a Haynes manual before I go to look at the car. Should I carry anything else with me?
Thanks for having such a wonderful forum,
Nick
