Newest tranny issue

Alright just researched quite abit and belive I have bad synchros. Where can I get a rebuild kit for a 90 awd trans? I want to go gvr4 first and double syncro second while I am in there. I have a spare in the garage just need to buy the parts to rebuild. I have cash in hand and ready to go but no parts. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.




It has just started in the past week not wanting to go into first gear. At first I could just goto 2nd then hit first and it would go right in. Now I have to slam the thing in 4-5 times for it to finally go in gear. It is only first. WHen it goes in it is good all the way through but it is a b*tch to get in. Anyone have any clues what could be causing this?
I checked out the adjustment on the cable while my wife tried to put it in gear and it looks like it is goin in, then when u ket iut in the ckutch it grinds like it isnt in gear.

Have you tried something as simple as a change of gear oil (gm synchromesh)?

I havent switched to syncromesh but I am telling you it is very hard to get into first. It acts like there is a wall there that it is hitting. I have no clue what is causing it. I appreciate the reply and will try some syncromesh. Does advanced or auto zone carry it or where can I get it?
