Newb to 1g PLEASE HELP OUT

OK heres the deal, last week me and my bro bought this 91 TSi AWD..... ran great but wasn't boosting well (boost leak...) did a pressure test and looked like a leak from the injector insulators.....took the feul rail out and the far left injector has no insulator~! WTF went to satan got some new ones slapped them in... did another test....seems to be a small leak at the TB but were able to hold 15+ psi for about 5 min then it leaks out slowly..... decided to skip this leak until we get some new UICP's and do it all at once..... when we bought the car the guy said it has a used JDM motor (looks liked they used the factory valve cover...) i look at the turbo and WTF do i see its a small 16g turbo~!!!! now here comes the problem............ the car has the blue top injectors (450's right??) well we can't get this beast to run right at all....... sounds like its running to lean (runs good then bogs out a little and then runs normal and so on...also there is no smell of gas at all..) idle is good vac is good....just need to fix the prob so it runs right..... also what would running 20000 miles do to a cylinder with no injector insulator?????

I would start with plugs and wire, then perform a compression test. The only difference between JDM and USDM is the intake manifold, AKA cyclone.
 
sorry it has the USDM manifold i think it has the block and the head from a JDM motor......... according to the specs JDM motors have a higher compression 8.5 compared to 7.8 right?????? also forgot to mention the day after we got it we put all new sparkplugs, wires, and a new fuel filter as well as changed the oil.... thanks for the help please keep tha ideas coming.......... :thumb:

Wow, maybe people have lives or at work or asleep. :rolleyes: Posts like these are a good way not to get help in future threads.
