What's up all? I've been taking care of everything in my other forum posts and trying not to go nuts running down all the previous owners wiring and plumbing issues.

I got done installing a new boost control solenoid from ecmlink and plumbing it using the bottom and top port instructions found here http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/bcsinstall

Then following these two forum posts I did a basic setup

http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/installing-an-ingersoll-boost-control-solenoid.443700/

http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-227775.html

I just went out and did a couple of gentle pulls and did a few logs and I'd love to get the experts opinions on how things are looking.

When set to 0% the pressure built up to wastegate base of around 9lbs and then when I set it to 50% the gauge was around 15lbs. I'm new to this car and turbos in general but to me it seems like it isn't boosting early enough but I'm guessing it's a settings issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated as always. Thanks in advance

You have to remember the % is duty cycle, it's not going to be a linear psi/% point increase. I'd make sure you have zero leaks on your tubing to and from the solenoid. If you want more boost, you can swap the wastegate spring, but remember to drop your % and work your way back up to your desired level. 100% is literally like having the line off the wastegate and it's going to make a bunch of boost.

Thanks liquid, I'll have to look into what the stock spring is on my waste gate so I can adjust accordingly. There are definitely zero leaks, I just plumbed it myself and after dealing with the previous air leaks from the previous owner I'm very OCD about it now.

GST, I filled out that info before in my first dsmlink thread but started this new one because I thought dealing with boost was something a bit different and didn't even think about throwing it in here. I'll be sure to update it and include it in the future, sorry about that.
