I just parted out my heavily modified 99 Mercury Cougar due to the fact it would cost me 15,000 for it to achieve 342 Hp to the FW.

I just bought an 95 Gs-T, a recovered theft. So far from what is looks like...I need a full turbo kit (turbo, intercooler, piping, header/manifold, gaskets), I will need an Injectors and injector harness, Ignition wires, Spark plugs, Air kit, igniton (and key), as well as an antenna.

I am on a budget....so be kind....Here are a few things I am looking at...please chime in....All these items ARE A MUST...buying them used from a member here on the baords would be a plus

Turbo)
1)

2) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4G63-...QQcmdZViewItem

3) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mitsu...QQcmdZViewItem

Intake) Any recomendations, On the cougar platform...it did not matter what kind of intake you had b/c It all did the same job, just at a different price and a different name.
Also, I will need a box that will cover the intake(prevent heat soak) as well as There is a huge circle underneath where the intake would be...If I come across a puddle goodbye turbo and engine. Where Do I find one or Do I have to make my own? Do I need it?

3) Injectors...With any of these turbo application will I need to upgrade ther injectors? If so what size? Will the fit OEM injector harness?

4) fuel pump works but will need to be upgraded...How soon do I need it

5) What kind of Spark plug wires should I buy?

6) Antenna?

7) Ignition.

More to come as I further diagnoss this thing...I will post pics of car!

All help would be appreciated. If you have any of these parts and are for sale PM me.

ALL HELP AND .02 is appreciated! Please no criticism...I am a noob, I am doing this in between full time job and college summer classes. I will be junk yard hunting as well!:rocks:

Looking at the pics of the car in the eBay ad, it only needs a couple of things to get up and going.

Get the complete 16g kit from TurboChargers, thats the best option for you right now.

Go to Mitsubishi Graveyard and ask them if they have any 2g injector harness's complete.

Intercooler and piping and you are all set.

Get a 1G blow off valve for now and upgrade later if you want and MAKE SURE YOU RECIRCULAT IT!

TurboDSM18....i completely understand...

I have a t25 turbo with wastegate, 2g ported manifold, Slowboy Racing Race
XXL FMIC w/short route hard piping, couplers, and clamps, Greddy type s BOV,

--T25 was purchased brand new from the dealer when I first picked up the car
18 months ago. I paid $350 for it and it only has 1k miles. My friend worked
at Mitsu so I received a huge discount on it.
--2g ported manifold was professionally ported and has not been used since
the porting. I paid $90 for the porting and unported manifolds sell for $50.
Manifold has a total of 70k miles.
--SBR Race XXL FMIC is brand new, never used and normally costs $999.
--Greddy Type S is brand new, never used and normally costs $110

Prices I am selling them for:
---T25 turbo with wastegate = $140
---2g ported manifold = $100
---SBR Race XXL FMIC = $775
---Greddy type s BOV = $75
---TOTAL = $1090

If i buy everything he gives it to me for 1050 shipped to my door? Any input on this?

I asked for pics...

I am doing this in b/w Phil class, and work. Easy to research hard to memorize

Yes the filter was in the Ebay fmic thread. When they were talking about cleaning the FMIC with a dangerous gas. Someone said Install a filter and you will neve rhave to do it agian!

Mitsubishi Graveyard aka George doesnt have an injector harness!

I got a response to my injecotr harness...

Okay, there is no injector harness that attaches to just all four injectors,
it's part of a larger engine harness and has all sorts of other wires
bundled up in there for other sensors. However, I do have four individual
injector clips with pigtails if that will get the job done. 20 shipped.

Does this sound right?

Yes that's correct. The injector clips come off the engine harness.

I think the TC.com kit is a far better value than what that guy is selling. A 16G will take you much further and the price difference won't be very large. Well worth the extra money, the T25 is a worthless piece of crap.

Definitely. Look back at the list I came up with for you. The total came out to be just about the same and it's a much, much better setup. First you were talking about making 500+ HP and now you're thinking about buying another T25? Like MyBeatGSX said, the T25 is more or less a little pretend turbo.

Just bought an engine harness and igniton with key...

This upcoming week the turbo kit will be ordered!

Whats the best intake Filter and Pipe wise I should buy?
Same thing with RED spark plug wires...

I would just buy that and call it a day. If you're really short on cash, you could search ebay as well. A pipe is a pipe, what you want to make sure is that the filter is a decent one, K&N being the preferred filter choice usually.

Spark plug wires, if you search you'll find a million threads on it. Just some high performance wire set will do. MSD, Magnecore, NGK and Taylor being the big ones. Taylor or NGK might be best though just because they're usually a little cheaper.

Taylor

NGK
http://www.extremepsi.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=17645&cat=671&page=1

You can find them other places as well but those prices are about the best you'll do. ExtremePSI is a great company to order from.

I did my research on Wires...everyone was defending the ones they have on their car:confused:

Dejon tool intake pipe ( www.dejontool.com ) and MSD 8.5mm wires.

when you know what turbo you are buying ask us EXACTLY which intake pipe will fit it from Dejon tool.

2g Solution w/ install kit
REAL MHI Evo 3 16g Turbo
GT Manifold (flows about the same as an Evo manifold)
J pipe w/ install kit

Exact turbo I am getting...

So basically order an air kit and then swap out filter for a K&N?

Are you still considering these parts? If so I would pass on most. T25 is what came stock on the 2g's so it isn't an upgraded, you don't want this. SBR FMIC setup, which kit is this? Brand new from SBR one kit is $830 & one is $730. Even if it is the larger kit, that isn't much of a deal, personally I would spend the little extra and get it brand new from the source so your covered if you have any issues. Greddy Type S bov they don't make anymore so why is it brand new? Its not a bad deal if it is an authentic type s bov, but there are knock off type s's all over ebay. If this is one you can pick one up new for like $50. I would only get it if it is the real deal or go for the Greddy typr RS, which is the replacement for the Type S.

If you want to make sure your gettin "real" products, shop at the vendors that I linked in one of my above posts.

I am getting the Turbo from the link above
FMIC and hard piping will be through ebay...from the FMIC ebay thread

All other parts are up for either new or used via ebay, classifieds, and dealer websites

Exactly. It's because as long as you just get a good high-performance wire, you'll be fine, it's not something that makes a huge difference. But yeah, you'll see someone say only get MSD's or only get Magnecore's etc. That's just because they are running them and haven't had problems. That's why I just suggest the cheapest of the bunch, being the NGK's or Taylor's.

Actually that ExtremePSI intake kit has a choice of the vibrant filter or a K&N. It's a little drop down bar next to "filter choice". The vibrant might actually be fine but if I were you I might just go with the K&N since it's a tried and true filter. I am pretty sure that the kit will fit the TD05 compressor housing (which is on the 16g) but just in case you might want to call ExtremePSI and make sure. If it doesn't it would just be a matter of getting the right sized silicone coupler that goes from turbo -> pipe.

AHH SH1T!! Had problems with purchasing an injecotr harness. Possible now I might a whole new engine hanress!! GRRR!!!! Thanks KRIS! I know hlf of the harness goes to the engine and half goes to a resisitor box but my ? is....How do I know I need a whole harness? Anything in particular I should be looking for?

would you rather a moderator tell you??

just letting you know they dont like bumping threads.

if you want i can report the post and they can tell you personaly?
just let me know...

He's right, mods don't like topic bumping at all. This site's adminitration has a very low tolerance for rules violations.

Foreverfalcon40 said:

... something wrong with the old harness maybe... That's what I usually look for before replacing a part.

Why don't you just buy some injector clips and wire them in yourself? Ever heard of a junkyard?

If your not gonna help, don't post!:nono:

Actually, you better be glad that somebody as nice as siceclipse came upon that ridiculous bump before any mod did. This thread would've been closed so quickly. If you just follow the rules, you will be surprised how great this site can be.

Good luck on the harness.
