Hello guys I'm having an issue with my upstream o2 sensor, I've tried some old sensors and then bought a new one and I still have a check engine for the o2 sensor. What should I do?? Also I have a 1998 mitsubishi eclipse gst with a 6 bolt swap that was recently done to it

More information please. Can you provide a list of modifications?
If you could post a picture of your engine bay, it will answer a lot of the questions that need to be answered in order to make progress on the issue.

Thank you
Justin

Hello man it's all stock 6 bolt, had a balance shaft delete, tdo6 turbo, kiggly trigger sensor, that's all I can imagine, it's in a 1998 mitsubishi eclipse gst.

Ok, I don't know what kind of 02 housing is on there, but I don't see an 02 sensor mounted in it. Is there? and we are going to have to talk about the intercooler piping - that coupler in the picture does not look like it wll hold pressure very well. You will want to do a boost leak test (or become familiar about how to do one first)

Can you take another pic, a bit farther back so we can see the plug the o2 sensor is supposed to be plugged into on the left hand side of the head, maybe under the water neck?

Does your scanner, I assuming you're using one, tell you what the code is and give you a code number?

Do you have an ECU with DSMlink on it?

I forgot to mention that I have 450cc injectors I just realized that not sure if that matters, and I don't know how to do a boost test first project ever kinda new at this

The other thing I wanted to mention, you look to be running a stock ecu with. MAF airflow sensor.

The blow-off valve ( BOV ) you have is vented to atmosphere. This will introduce drivability issues, where any air that vents will cause a rich condition and bog or stall the engine between shifts.

Until you are running a modified ecu with speed density, you are going to want to put a hose from the BOV back to the intake - after MAF and before turbo.

Gotcha will do that today

No it doesnt

OK so we have established:

You installed a new oxygen sensor, you plugged it in, the car still has a check engine light that says its not plugged in

So you have a wiring problem. you need to inspect the wires going to the ECU for the front oxygen sensor, or you could trace the wires from the oxgen sensor into the car to the ecu.

Thanks man I'd make sure to keep you guys updated on what's going on
